I Am a Real Sports Fan of Professional New England Teams, Including the Boston Bruins.

A couple of Venezuelan friends helped me get this picture taken so that you could be assured that I really am a New England Professional Sports fan! If that previous sentence sounds strange, it may be because I am technology-challenged. Does that second sentence sound right? I even had a "wicked" hard time (New England type of expression) back in the old days when I had to do something relatively simple like snap a picture! I was "pretty" bad (another New England type expression) with those kinds of things back then, and I have only gotten worse. I am sure that all observant viewers will notice the four New England Professional teams' logos represented on my sweatshirt going clock-wise and starting at high noon: the Boston Bruins hockey team, the New England (formerly Boston) Patriots football team, the Boston Celtics basketball team, and right in the middle of the three-leaf design the Boston Red Sox baseball team.      I should probably clear up rig

Reactivating My Sports Blog in English

“Problems with the internet are not usually due to the incapacity of the internet but rather to the incapacity of the user.” As I mentioned in the brief previous entry to this blog, I was “trying to recuperate my four blogs,” one of which is this. I also mentioned a temporary, initial reordering unless I could "miraculously recuperate and connect” these blogs. Well, to paraphrase and apply what a friend once said to me, “Problems with the internet are not usually due to the incapacity of the internet but rather to the incapacity of the user.” I am happy to report that the miracle has occurred and my blogs are connected, have been recuperated, and are being reactivated. Actually, and more accurately, it is I, the user, who is reconnecting himself to them, recuperating his ability to work with them, and reactivating his communication by them; the blogs were doing and are doing just fine, thank you. So, once again, thank you for your patience. Since today is Father's

A Reactivated New Englander in Venezuela

Dear Reader, I am in the process of trying to recuperate my four blogs, two (one in English and one in Spanish) on Professional Sports in New England and two (one in English and one in Spanish) on Teaching English in Latin America. Apparently this is the only one that will let me write new entries. Therefore, unless I can miraculously recuperate and connect the other three blogs, I shall try to work out of this one and maybe eventually rename this one. Thank you for your patience during this transition. Published by Ambrose Powell Ambrose Powell, was born and raised in the New England area of the United States. He currently teaches English in Valencia, Carabobo, Venezuela, and follows New England professional sports teams from there.
