I Am a Real Sports Fan of Professional New England Teams, Including the Boston Bruins.

A couple of Venezuelan friends helped me get this picture taken so that you could be assured that I really am a New England Professional Sports fan! If that previous sentence sounds strange, it may be because I am technology-challenged. Does that second sentence sound right? I even had a "wicked" hard time (New England type of expression) back in the old days when I had to do something relatively simple like snap a picture! I was "pretty" bad (another New England type expression) with those kinds of things back then, and I have only gotten worse.

I am sure that all observant viewers will notice the four New England Professional teams' logos represented on my sweatshirt going clock-wise and starting at high noon: the Boston Bruins hockey team, the New England (formerly Boston) Patriots football team, the Boston Celtics basketball team, and right in the middle of the three-leaf design the Boston Red Sox baseball team.

I should probably clear up right at the start that I have nothing against the Boston Bruins hockey team. I followed them faithfully during my high school days and often fell asleep listening to the broadcast of their games over a small old-fashion radio. As a matter of fact, let me try to remember most of the Boston Bruins' hockey players back in my high school days: Gery Cheevers and Ed Johnston as goalies, Teddie Green, Bobbie Orr, Dallas Smith, Rick Smith, and Don Awry as defensemen, Phil Esposito, Ken Hodge, and Wayne Cashman/Ron Murphy as the first line, Fred Stanfield, Johnny Bucyk, and Johnny MacKenzie as the second line, Dereck Sanderson, Eddie Westfalt and Wayne Carleton as the third line. Some other players escape my mind at this moment. How did I do? Forgive all my spelling errors as I wrote the players' names. I did not check this list with any other sources than my brain. However, I confess that I have not been able to keep up with a lot of the Bruins' doings while living outside of New England.

Five years ago I was able to write some sports' musings concerning the 2013 Boston Red Sox on their way to winning the World Series that year. I also sold some of my Red Sox and 2013-2014 New England Patriot articles to Yahoo back then. I think that I can better handle writing English language sports' articles on this blog and Spanish language sports' articles on my other blog. If you want that Spanish language link and cannot find it, just let me know.

I look forward to sending you more up-to-date musings as I reflect on this year's version of the Boston Red Sox this summer.
