One Last Digital Trophy Earned (Strava's" Getting into the Habit of Exercising") and Two Challenges to Remember (Part 8)

Akira and I recently won the last digital trophy that we set out to win during February 2022, by successfully meeting the Strava Challenge of Getting Used to Doing Exercises. This Strava challenge to get used to Doing Exercise Workouts was very similar in many ways to the "60 by 60 #ForStJude 1962-2022," but different from the other challenges like Nuun's "Unplug & Recharge," Shokz' "Pushing Your Limits," Hapbee's "Choose Your Challenge," Le Col's Form Finder Challenge, Strava's "Walk (Distance)," Roka's Frozen 400 (Time Used to Exercise), and Laird's Superfood (Time Used to Exercise).

February's Challenge:

Walking as a Habit

  • The last challenge to be met during February 2020 was the "February Challenge: Walk" by the Strava Club. It was very similar to the previous Challenge from St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, starting with the same date (February 7) and ending on the same day (today, March 6, 2022). It also consisted of a minimum of 20 minutes of daily activity (walking in our case), but not for three days but rather for four days a week during the four-week period. Akira and I finished this challenge last Thursday, although the challenge continued until March 6.
  • Reviewing the nine challenges that we faced and overcame during the month of February and the beginning of March, two challenges stand out to me. First, the Nuun Challenge caught my attention.
Nuun Unplug & Recharge Challenge

This challenge tries to remind us that there are more things to do in the day than the 3 hours 43 minutes that the normal adult spends being connected to his or her cell phone.
Second, the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Challenge caught my attention.
This challenge encourages us to support works like this according to our possibilities. Cancer and other diseases threaten our lives. We do not like to recognize these diseases many times until one touches us or another loved one. The work of helping children is especially important when we remember the inspiring motto of Danny Thomas, the founder of the hospital: "No child should die in the dawn of his life." There may still time to make a donation that will be considered as part of my publicity effort about the great work of this hospital. Even if it is too late to be part of my publicity effort, it would still be greatly appreciated.

    • In the next article I plan to review the nine challenges passed in February and the six new challenges in March 2022, of which Akira and I have already completed two of them.
    • Thank you for the part that you play by supporting us economically and morally and by writing to us personally and on social media while Akira and I walked during January, February, and the beginning of March! Have a nice day and keep exercising!
